Directions for use

  • DERMASEBEX has a strong smell which subsides after a few minutes. It is recommended to rinse the skin several minutes after application or to apply DERMASEBEX several minutes before showering or washing.
  • Applying DERMASEBEX causes a completely normal and short-lived burning sensation if the skin is at all damaged (chapped or abraded by seborrhoeic dermatitis). When the skin no longer presents any active lesions of seborrhoeic dermatitis, applying the solution does not trigger any burning sensation.
  • For as long as the solution triggers a burning sensation, the frequency with which DERMASEBEX is applied depends on the tolerance level of your skin. When there is no longer any burning sensation on application, the solution should be applied less frequently but often enough to maintain the skin's healthy appearance. The frequency varies from skin type to skin type, from anything between once a month to once every two or three days. If the treatment causes a permanent skin irritation, reduce the frequency of application until irritation subsides.
  • Follow-up treatment is usually necessary to maintain results, as seborrhoeic dermatitis is a chronic disorder for which there is no long-term cure. How often the solution needs to be applied to maintain results depends on each person, but it should not be applied more than once a day in the long term. The symptoms of seborrhoeic dermatitis can reappear at any time depending on the sensitivity of each person or other factors as is stress i.e.; the treatment should then be started again in the same manner.
  • Avoid contact with the eyes: contact with the eyes will cause an intense burning sensation: rinse immediately with plenty of water until the burning sensation stops.

DERMASEBEX "light" and "strong" solutions

The "DERMASEBEX light" solution is usually the first course of treatment. The "DERMASEBEX strong" solution is used if there is no response to the light solution. Apply a few drops directly to the area of skin to be treated: the scalp, eyebrows, upper lip, back, etc. Rub in with fingertips and rinse off after a few minutes. Be careful to avoid any excess solution going into the eyes. In case of contact with the eyes, rinse immediately and abundantly and then dry. After washing, apply pH-balancing cream (approx. pH 5.5).

DERMASEBEX foam:

shampoo and shaving foam Apply a generous quantity of foam every day on the area desired; rub in then rinse off. DERMASEBEX foam can also be used as a shaving foam to avoid razor irritation. Apply a generous quantity of foam on the area to be shaved, leave to act for few seconds, shave and rinse. Rinse razor blades thoroughly after use to avoid rusting. After shaving and use a pH-balancing cream (approx. pH 5.5).
